face up to it..

07/03/21
Day 36 of my 100 Day Project seems a good time to do a follow up blog post , not least because 36 photos create a pleasing 6 x 6 grid. I am enjoying the project so far, and I’m amazed how many people I don’t know in real life have sent me photos of themselves for me to mess about with. And that’s even after they’ve seen what I’m going to do to them!
I have enough photos now to complete my 100 days, thank you to everyone who has contributed.

Doing 100 days of anything is a bit of a slog, but as always, once it’s begun I’m glad to have commited to doing it. It gives me something to post on Facebook and Instagram every day, which takes the pressure off at a time when I don’t have much new work to share.
As an unexpected bonus I have received some really lovely comments about my project and people seem to enjoy following my posts….

I just love your portraits. I go through one by one til the last one which is always the photo. It’s a lot of fun each time. Thank you for the joy you bring to the world.

Your work is brilliant! You absolutely capture the essence of your subject and have such fun with it, thank you for sharing!

This is one of my favs so far; fascinated by the process. It’s fun to follow your line, the trail taken to create the face; a maze that, when seen from above, shows you the genius of the design.

I can really see your progress as time goes by! You are doing a great job! I enjoy seeing each portrait!

I am SO impressed by your blind drawings and graphic embellishments. They really are amazing. What a marvellous skill to have … keep people entertained forever!

Sometimes the person in the photo comments on my drawing of them, which is always a bit of a thrill . Mostly I don’t know if they have seen it, or what they think of it. Might be a case of “if ye’ve nothing good to say, hud yer wheest”, which is understandable
I am very grateful to everyone who has contributed , thank you for making my project good fun 🙂
