hashtag one hundred….

Yesterday was day 100 of my posting  a photo of a piece of work I have done in the past on my Facebook page and also on Instagram
You can see individual photos of all of them here.
Why do I bother, you might ask? Well, truth be told, it makes my life a bit simpler, gives me an excuse to interact with social media every day without having to think too much about it, and without the pressure of having to have something new to show each day.
I arrived quite late at the Instagram party, and when I eventually  got there I felt self conscious because it seemed like everyone knew each other already and were giving me sideward glances wondering who let me in. Someone on Facebook posted that they were taking part in an Instagram challenge called “100 days of hashtag something or other” (I might be paraphrasing ), and I saw my chance and jumped at it.  This coincided with the IT Dept. (Steve) showing me how to upload photos that were already on my  laptop (rather than my phone) to Instagram.
In April 2018 I started #100daysofbuttonsbroochesbitsandbobs
Every day for 100 days I  posted one of my handmade buttons or brooches on a background of my textile art .
You can see them all here
When that finished I started the next 100 days of posting a piece of work I have done in the past, which finished yesterday.
I’m taking the day off today, but I will  start a new 100 days of something or other tomorrow.
